After the TREMENDOUS success of ACCESS and Dunn Deal 3 I am back working on yet ANOTHER CD ( 2 within 3 months of each other I know I know) hahahaha I guess I'm just making up for lost time, I'll be out and about passing them out at various events but as for now, be on the look out for the return of ACCESS in a new monthly flavor after the new year! I along side my co-hort, DJ Weezar will be bringin it to you live in a major way, so stay tuned, happy holidays and have a great new year's eve!

Well the wait is finally over. The full details and lineup for my annual birthday bash, DUNN DEAL III have been released. If you havent seen the full flyer with lineup you can check it out here ( front of the flyer / back of the flyer) The party is going to rock like never before with 2 full rooms of sound and SISTA STROKE headlining at Club Middle Earth, who, by the way has been very kind and accomodating by inviting us to have my annual bash there. I am personally welcoming EVERYONE out to this bash as it will also be my CD release party for my new mix compliation "Last Man Standing" (I know.. FINALLY right?) there will be some slammin new tracks and some of my own work on there as well so everyone come on out and have a blast!!

Wow where has the time gone! Alot of you have been asking when I'm going to come back from my honeymoon and return to the decks well, I have an answer for you... NOW! My long time friend and fellow DJ, DJ Weezar and I, along with a friend have reformed our old entertainment company and renamed it PHOENIX ENTERTAINMENT. We will be hosting a series of parties this fall and into the new year starting with ACCESS: The DJWeezar.com launch party on Friday, Sept. 29th (you can see the flyer here ). The other big announcement is the teaser for my annual birthday bash which will mark not only another year but FINALLY... FINALLY the release of my new CD. ( I know ... its been forever). Summer is halfway over and wow what an eventful summer its been! I've been a bit of a recluse working on tracks and whatnot as well as having some personal joy in my life. I am happy to announce I was married at the end of May to my beautiful new wife Katie. She is the light of my life and I look foreward to having her by my side in life, love, and friendship. With that happy news I am also glad to say I've finally caught up on some of the updates to the site. I have uploaded 2 new sets. The first being my latest appearance on Rice Radio's MK Ultra 2.0 show (91.7 FM) and the second is my 3rd appearance at the "Deja Vu" series of parties hosted by Club Havok both of which you can find on the music section of this site. Stay Tuned for more news, there are BIG things in the works for all you dance music fans!!!

Summer is almost upon us! At least for us here in Houston it feels like it's already here! HOT HOT HOT! Anyway, I'm FINALLY putting the finishing touches on not only my new CD but this site as well (picture section is finally going up :) ) I also want to give a big shout out to the boys over at 91.7 FM for having me on again (the set will be posted in the mixes section as usual once I get it from them) and I also want to thank all the folks at Club Havok for their continued support. I will be playing over there on the 26th of May for the Alt Reality show (Deja Vu III) Anyway be sure to sign up for that e-mail list and keep up the dancing people!.

Well March has come and gone (so quickly it seems!) Things are going well here in Houston. I'm working on lots of things for all you dance music lovers out there so let me get right to it. The first of which is my new weekly called "COED". This thursday weekly will feature the best dance music tunes in town courtesy of myself, and my 2 other houston area DJ mainstays, DJ Joe D, and Leon Chi. This hot new THURSDAY NIGHT weekly will be held at one of Houston's most beautiful club venues, The Gatsby (located at 2540 University Blvd. Houston, TX 77005) The cover is ONLY $5 and its FREE for unaccompanied ladies every week. Our big kickoff night is Thursday April 13th so be sure to attend and dont forget to sign up for my e-mail list so you can get all kinds of info and special discounts to all the events I'll be at. My next announcement is the sequal to Deja VU. The last Deja Vu went off in a big way and I was happy to see so many of you out there dancing! Well guess what, its going down again Friday April 14th once again at Club Havok (located at 6305 Skyline Dr. Houston, TX)! Hope to see you all there for that show. Finally, I am also happy to announce I have been in and out of the studio FINALLY getting my new CD together and working on several remix/production projects. March is here! Wow this year is flying by already. I just want to thank everyone for their continued support. I have finally uploaded my most recent set from the MK Ultra show on the media section of my site. Wow Febuary is already upon us! I just want to let everyone know that my saturday night home, Joia, will be re-opening All-Star weekend with a new name, TOUCH! I have also been having alot of people ask when my set from my most recent appearance on the MK ULTRA radio show will be available for download. I am currently working with them to get a copy ASAP from those guys so just be sure to join the e-mail list on the contact section of the site here and check back on the media section for gig dates and updates to the site and also when that set will be available. Hello again and Happy New Year! I hope everyone's holiday was great. I just want to let everyone know that I've got alot cooking for 2006 and that it's going to be a VERY eventful and fun year! There's a few new projects I'm working on. I have currently begun co-promoting a new afterhours event every Saturday at Houston's legendary nightclub RICH's (2401 San Jacinto). The night is hosted by fellow dj and promoter DJ LEON of monnfly entertainment. Be sure to come and check it out every saturday night starting at 2am! My production crew Ronin has a few events coming up but we'll post more about those as details arise. Be sure to sign up for the mailing list to get details and updates on ALL these great upcoming events and more. Happy Holidays everyone. I hope everyone out there is enjoying the holiday season. I have been very busy due to some unexpected events with the building in which we have setup STUDIO EM. So unfortunately due some rather serious foundation work that needed to be done, we have decided to move to a new location. I will still be performing out as well as working on my own solo production work and so be on the look out for that in the coming new year. Thanks to everyone who supported us while we were open and we look foreward to our new location wherever that may be. In the meantime, I wish everyone a blessed holiday and safe and happy New Year. Sometimes in life, good people go astray, and it takes something life changing to help them find their way back. Sometimes that same incident makes the people around them take a look at themseleves as well. That being said, I would like to wish my former Chemistry/Tranceision teammate Cesar Seymour all the best wishes I can on his speedy recovery. Although I am saddened at the severity his accident, I am happy to see him up and about, and back to being the good person we all once knew. I truely wish him a healthy and quick recovery. I would just also like to let everyone know for the record, although I wont be returning to Chemistry or Tranceision, I have nothing but best wishes for Cesar Seymour and Javier Reyna in all they do. I'm glad the hatchet's been buried and we can all move foreward to make things better not only with ourselves, but with our local scene as well.

That being said, I've got a lot cooking with the opening of PHOENIX music this month as well as some other treats for all you dance music lovers out there. I have also uploaded my set from Houston's MK ULTRA2.0 Radio show which airs every friday on 91.7FM. You can find that set in the media section of this site. Well as many of you know we've had a few hurricane scares here in the gulf coast area as well as more on the way I'm sure. That being said, October is going to be a busy busy month here in Houston (provided we arent wiped out by a hurricane). This month will I will be having my 25th birthday celebration here at Studio EM as well as few other smaller events. I hope you can all make it out, with any luck I might actually have my CD done by then seeing as how with all the craziness thats been going on here in Houston my CD has been pushed back. Hello everyone!
Welcome to the newly redesigned site! I apologize for the lack of updates the last month or so, its been crazy here! Please bear with us while we work out all the kinks. I just want to thank everyone for their continued support as we move foreward with many of projects. I am happy to announce Studio EM is almost complete and am even HAPPIER to announce the opening of my own record and music shop, PHOENIX MUSIC. Now some of you may ask why Phoenix? Well, the phoenix rose from the ashes to fly again, and that is what I am doing, rising up from a the horrible situation I left when I parted ways with chemistry music and tranceision to rise up above it all and do it the right way, with love for the music.Also wanted to keep you all updated on my new CD which should be coming out by summer's end and will be entitled "Last Man Standing".

Hey from Houston! I want to continue thank everyone who has made it out to Thrift Thursdays every week at Dean's Credit Clothing ( 316 Main ) and thank the Houston Press for covering our weekly (article here). I also want to let everyone know that Studio EM is nearing completetion, We've moved into the facility and are currently renovating. We'll be having a big kick off party by summers end hopefully as well as a RE-Launch party for this website. Be on the watch for the new look ! I also want to let everyone know of my NEWEST sunday home, .Joia I along side DJ Red, will be playing a sunday patio set at Houston's HOTTEST ultra lounge from 5pm to Midnight, every sunday evening. So be sure to come and check it out!

Greetings again all. I want to personally thank everyone who has come out and supported my new thursday night weekly. My partner Niki Angelo and I have been thrilled with the response its gotten and wish to thank everyone who has come out and also to invite anyone out who hasnt made it out quite yet. I also want to keep you all updated on a few projects I'm working on; the first being my new mix CD titled "Last Man Standing". It will include more of my solo production work on it as well as some remixes and re-edits by yours truley as well. My second big project is Studio EM. This is a facility downtown dedicated strictly to music and arts and will host a variety of events ranging from dance music parties to art exhibits. I will keep you all posted on its progress as well. Thats all for now!

As some of you may or may not already know, I have regretably had to leave the Tranceision and Chemistry Music team. Unfortunately, there have been some less than honest practices and business ethics on their part to which I can no longer associate myself with until restitution is made. I wish my fellow DJ and member of Chemistry/Tranceision Javier Reyna the best of luck in all he does, however I can no longer associate with his business partner Cesar Seymour (aka Czar) due to his shady financial practices and illegal subtance habits. Now that this unfortunate business is out of the way, I would like to announce I have posted a small re-edit of Randy Katana's remake of his own classic trancer "Fancy Fair". You can find this re-edit (Randy Katana - Fancy Fair '05 (Matthew Dunn ethnic edit) ) on my media section of the site. More good news I would like to announce is a new project in the works, Studio EM. A new venue deditcated to music and art that will be in the heart of downtown. More to come on that as it develops.

Happy Valentines to all! I would just like to let everyone know I have been feverishly working on my artist album and will have my next mix CD out sometime this summer. It will include some of my original work as well as some new remixes.
